Boys and Girls welcome
Geelong Rams Rugby Union Football Club has a rich tradition of playing rugby in our region since 1929! The Geelong Rams intend to field a number of junior teams in 2020 including U7/8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 sides – young girls are also welcome in our new “Touch 7s” format of the game, made popular by Australia’s’ World Champions.
The Geelong Rams employs “Smart Rugby” coaching practice and the younger games are closely supervised with reduced field sizes and on-field coaches assisting the referees and guiding the play. The Rams have an excellent coaching structure and regularly benefit from development clinics run by coaching professionals from the Melbourne Rebels, Melbourne’s professional rugby union side that participates in the International Super Rugby tournament. Come and “try-before-you-buy”, we’d love to see you having fun and running with the oval ball!
